They include the open and screened porches along the front  and the full second story eliminating the pitched roof and dormer windows of the colonial structure. A retail store visible on the right side is another example of a nineteenth-century modification. During the tavern&#039;s restoration between 1931 and 1932, it was returned to its original form as a story and a half gable end building attached to the main tavern.]]></dcterms:description>
