Description

Folding hawk-eye camera and instruction book used by architectural draftsman John A. Barrows while working on the restoration of structures in Williamsburg, Virginia in the late 1920s and early 1930s. This modest hand-held camera was used by Rufus N. Barrows to photograph a family outing to Yorktown in 1914. He gave it to his son John about 1928, and it was used for most of the photographs featured in the collection.
