Description

Page six, group of photos captioned, “We left the Inn in Sept. 1943 to take up quarters on the base. Our quarters consisted of a three room cabin, formerly a hunting lodge, with enclosed porch built on. It was on the banks of the York River in a lovely wooded section. At Christmas time we gathered holly and mistletoe from the trees around us. We had many a feast of fish and oysters from the river."
