Recto and verso, photograph of a shadow of contract photographer Frank Nivison and his camera falling across the excavated foundations of a small structure east of the main building on the lot of the St. John House, Williamsburg, Virginia. Notation AA designates a fragmentary wall foundation and AB a small foundation of a step or chimney. CC indicates a line of rubble and B a patch of rubble. Wall AA overlaps the rectangular foundation at AB.
