Description

Recto and verso, photo of excavated foundations at the Chiswell-Bucktrout House archaeological site, Williamsburg, Virginia. Notation of verso reads: "Foundation of double corner fireplace located inside of the W. end of existing Chiswell or Freeman House. No evidence of ash or charcoal were found nearby which makes it possible that this chimney was never used or completed. See photo N6722 for another view of this foundation.
